When the Hall of Fame came out to play in 2013, we gave it a new (trade) dress.
2013 was a big year for the St. Louis Tennis Hall.
It moved to Frontenac Racquet Club from its old home in Forest Park, where it had only been accessible in the summer.
And after a hiatus of some years, it inducted four new members during the May Frontenac Pro Doubles Classic.
But as we were putting together the promotional materials for the Classic, it became clear that the Hall’s existing graphic materials no longer existed – and may never have been in electronic form. The choice: trace an old photocopy someone had found, or design a more contemporary version. Naturally, the leadership of the Hall opted to see some new designs.
The winner was this round version of the Arch as tennis racquet, very like the previous concept but more formal, befitting a Hall of Fame, and updated with current typography.
We also launched the Hall’s first site, which we trust can endure with help from a variety of contributors. After all, it’s a WordPress site!
